Yoshimi, inside the Hyatt Regency in Mexico City is exactly what you’d expect. Good sushi and japanese dishes where you pay out the butt for the quality and the restaurant’s rent. The ingredients are obviously fresh and the quality is top notch but the service and ambiance are lacking. The uni and salmon roe were delicious, as was toro, the fatty part of the tuna. One thing I’ll commend them on is having shishamo, smelt filled with its roe. It’s hard to find anywhere. You eat the fish whole and it’s deliciously charred and full of flavor. I’d come back just for this. If only I felt like wasn’t being ripped off.
